Collaborative Psychiatric Care
We are dedicated to providing comprehensive, client-centered mental health care. That’s why we’ve partnered with Psychotherapy Matters, a virtual platform that allows you to work with a psychiatrist and your therapist—ensuring seamless, well-rounded support.

Through this service, you will continue working with your therapist while also having access to a psychiatrist for assessments, diagnosis, and medication management when needed. This collaborative approach ensures that your care remains personalized, consistent, and effective.

How to Schedule a Psychiatric Consultation?
If you're interested in working with a psychiatrist alongside your therapy, simply inform your therapist. Psychiatric consultations can be scheduled after your second psychotherapy session. You will also receive a referral form to provide to your family doctor.
Is a Psychiatric Consultation Covered by OHIP?
Psychiatric consultations are conducted with both your therapist and the psychiatrist. OHIP covers the psychiatrist's services, but standard session fees will apply since therapy is not covered. Initial assessments last 90 minutes, while follow-up appointments are 20 minutes long.
How Often Would I See A Psychiatrist?
The first consultation is 120 minutes long, after that the doctor will make recommendations for follow ups depending on your situation. Follow ups are 20 minutes long so they can take place during a regular psychotherapy session.
Reduced Wait Times
Traditional psychiatric consultations can take 6 to 18 months, but through our collaborative partnership and Virtual Clinic, your wait time is significantly reduced to just 6 to 8 weeks—with the added convenience of meeting virtually from your therapist’s office or the comfort of your home.
Improved Quality of Life
Timely psychiatric support for children and adults provides an accurate diagnosis, medication recommendations or monitoring, and psychotherapy recommendations—helping you start your healing journey sooner.
Seamless
No need to find a separate psychiatrist. Your therapist will coordinate everything, ensuring a smooth and integrated approach to your mental health care.
